Getting the tower and
beam was a fun project and not as hard as I thought it would be.
First, I rented a great big bucket truck and operator. This gent
is a virtuoso with the bucket - really amazing. After
lifting my friend, Builder Bob, onto the roof, he lifted the tower up in
the air and then gently eased it down onto the roof. Bob bolted
the tower on the roof. The truck operator lifted the antenna high
into the air, the ground crew held the steadying lines, and then down
onto the mast. A little wrenching, cabling, finger-crossing, and
wow!! it's done.
