The K3WA ham shack is
a complete single operator two radio (SO2R) ham shack.
The station is pretty
much all-together now, but, along with my antenna farm, continues
to evolve. With the shack working pretty well my next step is to
simplify operations and equipment. I reduced the number of radios
from 3 to 2 by replacing my old FT-1000 MK V and FT-450 with an Elecraft
K3. That went a long ways in simplifying operations and control complexity.
My two radios are
(1) Elecraft K3 with an Alpha 87a amplifier and (2) a
Ten-Tec Orion II with a second Alpha 87a amplifier. I use a Tokyo High
Power HL-1.5KFX for 6 meters and as a back-up HF amplifier.
It takes a lot of
other stuff to make a SO2R station
operate, control equipment, filters.
etc. I'm still trying to get all the controls within easy-reach
position to help in contesting.

used. Please single click on the image to enlarge it.
